Telecom Engineer (Networking)

Location: Charlotte, NC; hybrid attendance required; remote work is not an option

Pay: $50–$55 per hour

What you will do

• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain networking protocols, routing, switching, and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ACI fabrics, including spine and leaf switches, APICs, and tenant configurations.
• Monitor network performance using ThousandEyes, LiveAction, SolarWinds, Wireshark, and similar tools.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
• Perform Cisco IOS updates and support ongoing network maintenance.
• Stay current with networking technologies, trends, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and at least two years of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED and at least six years of related experience.
• Proficiency with networking protocols, routing and switching, LAN/WAN technologies, VLANs, Ethernet, MPLS, ACI, ISE, and SD-WAN.
• Experience with ACI fabric configuration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of wireless networking standards, security protocols, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting in Charlotte, NC; W-2 employment only and no C2C.

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or similar industry certification.
• Tier 2 network operations support experience.
• At least one year of experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Experience working independently with limited supervision.
