What you will do

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for a rules engine platform.
  • Create user stories, acceptance criteria, epics, tasks, and supporting Jira documentation.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to clarify and prioritize requirements.
  • Develop high-level functional designs, process flows, and workflow documentation.
  • Support testing, validate delivered functionality, assess business impact, and assist with issue resolution.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience; a university or college degree is typically required.
  • Experience gathering requirements, creating user stories, and defining acceptance criteria in Agile environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira for backlog management, story creation, tracking, and delivery support.
  • Understanding of Agile or Scrum frameworks, SDLC, requirements management, and business process analysis.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in an in-office role based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; employment visa sponsorship and STEM OPT participation are not available.

Nice to have

  • Experience creating process flows, functional documentation, or high-level solution designs.
  • Background in financial services, banking, or rule-based decision-making platforms.
  • Experience with release management, UX design, application development, and process improvement.
