Distinguished Technical Program Manager (Marketplace)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; primary office at 1375 Crossman Ave.

Salary: $169,000–$338,000 annual salary for Sunnyvale; an additional Bentonville range is listed at $130,000–$260,000 annually. Performance bonuses and stock may also be included.

What you will do

• Lead strategy, planning, and end-to-end delivery for company-wide, multi-year technical initiatives across dozens of organizations and hundreds of engineers.
• Partner with senior engineers and architects on technical strategy, system availability, performance, and delivery alignment.
• Own highly ambiguous 0-to-1 initiatives where no established precedent exists.
• Identify and remove organizational silos, systemic friction, and workflow inefficiencies.
• Advise executive leaders and board members on program execution and outcomes.
• Mentor technical program managers and advance the TPM discipline.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience driving complex strategic programs and cross-functional outcomes, including technical program management.
• At least 2 years operating at a Principal or equivalent highly senior individual-contributor level.
• Extensive expertise in system architecture, software development, and infrastructure design.
• Experience delivering mission-critical software or infrastructure programs from inception through global deployment.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to influence multiple VP-level organizations without direct authority.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field with relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience.

• Project management certification.
• Master’s degree in business administration or a related specialization.
• Experience with inclusive digital experiences, WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
