TL;DR
Senior SDET (AI): Building and maintaining scalable UI, API, integration, performance, and load-testing automation for current and new SaaS platforms with an accent on CI/CD quality gates, distributed systems, and AI-powered feature validation. Focus on designing test strategy with software and data architects, diagnosing reliability bottlenecks, validating LLM and agentic functionality, and mentoring engineers on testable code.
Location: Lehi, Utah, United States; hybrid schedule with office attendance Monday through Wednesday

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Own quality gates, test criteria, automation, and regression coverage for the current platform.
- Partner with software and data architects to support the design and delivery of the new platform, then own its test strategy after launch.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows and keep test suites aligned with feature development.
- Diagnose flaky tests, performance bottlenecks, and reliability issues while building performance and load-testing capabilities.
- Validate AI-powered, LLM-based, and agentic functionality; participate in code reviews and mentor engineers on test automation and testable code design.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development or test automation experience with strong engineering depth.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, TypeScript, or a similar language.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation frameworks.
- Experience with API test automation, CI/CD integration, and BDD/TDD practices using tools such as REST Assured, Postman, Cucumber, or Gherkin.
- Working knowledge of performance and load-testing tools such as JMeter or k6.
- Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, or service integrations, plus knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and layered architecture.
Nice to have
- Contract testing experience with Pact or a similar tool.
- Experience with observability, shift-right testing, or production-quality monitoring.
- Background in high-growth SaaS environments or test suite consolidation after an acquisition.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.
- Experience validating RAG pipelines or detecting AI hallucinations in production systems.
