Medical Science Liaison, Inflammation, Western/Central Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico (Biotech)

Location: US - Texas - Austin. Field-based territory covering Western and Central Texas, including Austin, San Antonio, and El Paso, plus Oklahoma and New Mexico; excludes Dallas/Fort Worth and Houston. The role requires 60–70% travel for provider engagement, conferences, workshops, and company meetings.

Salary: $156,998.40–$212,409.60 annual base salary.

What you will do

• Serve as a scientific and clinical resource for opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and population health decision makers.
• Conduct peer-to-peer scientific exchange across pulmonology, allergy, ENT, gastroenterology, and inflammation-related indications.
• Communicate balanced clinical, scientific, outcomes, and economic data to healthcare stakeholders.
• Support sponsored research, clinical investigators, non-sponsored research, and potential study leadership.
• Provide field insights to internal stakeholders and support congresses, speaker training, and cross-functional project teams.
• Manage territory activities, compliance requirements, training, CRM records, expenses, and ongoing scientific development.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience.
• Experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, clinical practice, clinical research, medical research, or a related medically focused field.
• Ability to build relationships with external stakeholders and communicate scientific data effectively.
• Experience with respiratory, gastroenterology, inflammation, or the designated territory is preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned U.S. territory.

Nice to have

• Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or another doctoral degree.
• Current Medical Affairs or Scientific Affairs experience at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Four or more years in a medically related field, including clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research.
