Operations Specialist (Missouri City, TX)

What you will do

• Operate and maintain pipelines, compressor stations, engines, turbines, pumps, valves, instruments, cooling systems, and related process equipment.
• Install, repair, service, and maintain pipeline equipment, corrosion-control systems, measurement equipment, storage wells, and facility infrastructure.
• Start, stop, and operate engines and pumps within defined parameters; diagnose and repair mechanical equipment, seals, valves, and instruments.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and train company, contractor, and visitor personnel as required.
• Perform DOT, state agency, EPA, and other governmental compliance activities; identify and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Complete operational documentation, procedures, work plans, records, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience is listed; job level is commensurate with experience and skill set.
• Basic computer and math skills, including familiarity with MS Office and company software.
• Valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the company and its insurers.
• Ability to respond to callouts and emergencies outside regular business hours, work overtime, travel as required, and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work onsite in Missouri City, Texas, withstand extreme weather, enter confined spaces, climb elevated platforms and ladders, and lift required loads.

Nice to have

• Experience reading blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams.
• Knowledge of safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high- and low-pressure systems.
• Pipeline, compression, compressor engine, or pump maintenance experience.
