Space Systems Engineer

What you will do

• Support spacecraft systems engineering, including requirements management, risk tracking, architecture trades, and orbit analysis.
• Support on-orbit spacecraft operations, mission planning, and mission experiments for small satellite programs.
• Contribute to the design, development, integration, and testing of spacecraft subsystems and ground systems.
• Execute technical tasking from government engineers and program managers.
• Produce engineering documentation, reports, analysis scripts, and technical tools.
• Serve as a mission manager or technical lead for small satellite missions when assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with scripting languages such as MATLAB or Python.
• Experience with spacecraft orbital simulation software such as Systems Tool Kit (STK) or FreeFlyer.
• Experience with spacecraft development or satellite operations, including familiarity with spacecraft subsystems and interfaces.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• DoD Secret Clearance required.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in space systems engineering or spacecraft operations.
• Experience supporting spacecraft mission planning or on-orbit operations.
• Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
