Billing Coordinator (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Support billing, payment posting, eligibility validation, encounter tracking, and reconciliation.
• Reconcile capitation/PMPM payments and validate payer payments and eligibility data.
• Submit, correct, and follow up on claims.
• Identify billing discrepancies, underpayments, denials, and potential revenue leakage.
• Coordinate with Operations and Clinical teams to resolve documentation and eligibility issues.
• Maintain workflows in eClinicalWorks and payer portals while supporting audits, reporting, reconciliations, and payer implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–3 years of experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle operations, or payment reconciliation.
• Experience with healthcare payer portals and EHR or revenue cycle management systems.
• Experience with capitation/PMPM or managed care models and eClinicalWorks.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with IEHP, Molina, Anthem, or CalOptima payer portals is expected; ECM, population health, value-based care, and CPC or CPB certification are relevant qualifications.
