Engineer (AI/Crypto)

Location: Washington, D.C.; hybrid

Estimated base salary: $135,000–$245,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and build software tools, Kubernetes services, and autonomous agents for intelligence collection and analysis.
• Build and operate production agentic systems, including evaluation, guardrails, monitoring, and failure management.
• Collaborate with analysts and researchers to understand workflows and automate appropriate processes.
• Develop software for analyzing cryptocurrency usage behaviors and trends.
• Implement observability mechanisms and resolve operational issues.

Requirements

• Production software engineering experience in a commercial environment.
• Strong TypeScript skills with hands-on experience in React and Nest.js.
• Familiarity with Postgres and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Datadog.
• Practical AI fluency, including AI-assisted development and production agentic tooling.
• Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchains, with evidence-based communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in an intelligence collection setting.
• Experience with big data technologies, data management, and data pipelines.
• Experience improving how teams use AI.
