Cloud Infrastructure Manager (Azure)

Location: United States; compensation applies to offices in Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, and Massachusetts. The role follows a principally in-person Workplace for Your Day model with flexibility determined with the supervisor and team.

Salary: $123,500–$209,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Cloud Team while delegating work and setting technical expectations.
• Define Azure platform standards, roadmaps, operating practices, and the future cloud operating model with architecture, application, security, and operations teams.
• Design, implement, and improve secure, scalable Azure solutions using Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and GitHub-based CI/CD.
• Improve availability, disaster recovery, security, scalability, user experience, and cloud cost transparency through emerging technologies and FinOps practices.
• Provide senior-level Azure infrastructure support, including Tier 3 troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, preventive improvements, on-call participation, and occasional after-hours maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of IT infrastructure experience, including 3+ years building and operating Microsoft Azure solutions with Infrastructure as Code and Terraform in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services and architecture patterns, including App Services, Front Door, Key Vault, Logic Apps, Network Security Groups, Virtual Machines, VNets, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Availability Zones, and regional architectures.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals such as subnetting, routing, and security best practices.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms such as Azure Kubernetes Service or similar container orchestration technologies.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Rare travel may be required.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and Microsoft Azure AI services.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Terraform Cloud, Env0, or similar platforms.
• Microsoft Azure or HashiCorp certification.
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting experience.
• Bilingual Japanese and English or Chinese and English skills may qualify for an exception to the sponsorship requirement.
