Описание вакансии
Текст:
TL;DR
Integration Engineer (Advanced Nuclear Reactor): Integrating mechanical, electrical, I&C, structural, HVAC, fluid, and shielding systems into a licensable, buildable, and operable microreactor with an accent on interface control, requirements traceability, and configuration management. Focus on resolving cross-discipline design conflicts, defending technical decisions before regulators and review boards, and maintaining design margins through construction and commissioning.
Location: Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons in compliance with 10 CFR Part 810.
Company
Atomics develops factory-fabricated microreactors for affordable, scalable, and reliable nuclear power, beginning with the 10 MWe -1 reactor.
What you will do
- Own plant-level interface control and maintain Interface Control Documents across reactor systems, balance-of-plant, site, and transportation packages.
- Translate plant, functional, and regulatory requirements into system-level performance requirements with bidirectional traceability to component specifications.
- Lead cross-discipline design integration reviews covering piping, structures, electrical raceways, HVAC, I&C, and shielding.
- Act as technical authority for the master 3D plant model and PLM environment, including clash detection, model maturity gates, and configuration control.
- Prepare and defend integration-related licensing documentation, respond to regulatory requests for additional information, and evaluate design changes.
- Drive constructability, operability, maintenance access, ALARA, human factors, and design-margin control through construction and commissioning.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical, Nuclear, Systems, or Aerospace Engineering; an MS is strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years in nuclear, aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated systems-integration environment.
- Experience decomposing top-level requirements into system-level specifications and defending them under formal review.
- Working fluency with ASME, IEEE, NQA-1, 10 CFR Parts 50, 52, and 21, and systems-engineering practices such as INCOSE or ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288.
- Hands-on proficiency with a major 3D CAD/PLM environment and requirements-management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Polarion.
- Must be based in the United States, willing to work on-site in Austin, TX, and be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person compliant with 10 CFR Part 810.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting nuclear licensing actions or comparable authorization-basis work.
- Advanced reactor experience, including HTGR, sodium fast, molten salt, heat-pipe, or microreactor technologies.
- Probabilistic risk assessment, LMP/NEI 18-04, MBSE/SysML, or factory-fabricated modular assembly experience.
- Transportation package design experience, particularly under 10 CFR Part 71.
- Professional Engineer license.
Culture & Benefits
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Paid time off.
- Corporate gym membership.
- Collaborative and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth.
- Intellectually challenging engineering work in advanced nuclear energy.
