Analyst, Risk Analytics & Performance

Location: Hybrid in Toronto or Montreal, Canada

Salary: CAD 60,000–97,000 per year

What you will do

• Participate in implementations for investment performance, attribution analysis, ex-post risk measurement, and GIPS compliance.
• Provide daily operational and analytical support to alternative investment clients, including hedge funds, funds of funds, and private equity firms.
• Own production processes, review calculations, ensure data integrity, and deliver client outputs on time.
• Review data validation processes and troubleshoot data or reporting issues with technical teams.
• Collaborate with clients, product management, fund accounting, senior management, and internal and external partners.
• Support product management activities, including testing new functionality and contributing to process improvements.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in financial services, investment operations, risk reporting, performance analytics, or alternative investments.
• Understanding of investment performance measurement, risk analytics, attribution analysis, or investment reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets and relational data structures.
• Experience with AI-enabled productivity or automation tools; interest in using AI and automation to improve scalability, accuracy, and client experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and, where applicable, provide a valid work or study permit.

Nice to have

• Understanding of derivative products and alternative investments.
• Basic scripting, Python, SQL, or workflow automation experience.
• CIPM or CFA designation, or demonstrated progress toward one.
