NX Open Developer (Siemens NX)

Location: Hybrid in Warren, Michigan; on-site at the Warren Tech Center at least three days per week. Relocation benefits are available. Immigration-related sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain NXOpen applications, custom tools, and automation solutions in Siemens NX.
• Translate engineering algorithms, design constraints, and manufacturing requirements into user-facing software solutions.
• Build integrations between NX, Teamcenter PLM, and downstream manufacturing systems.
• Design data pipelines supporting digital engineering and Design for Manufacturing workflows.
• Create custom NX interfaces with NX Open UIStyler, Block UI, and Reuse Library Dialogs.
• Support prototyping, testing, validation, deployment, documentation, version control, and long-term solution maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Siemens NX Open API, Teamcenter SOA, and C#.
• Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM environments, process automation, and engineering workflows.
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturing, manufacturing processes, and engineering best practices.
• Ability to work on-site in Warren, Michigan, at least three days per week; GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting production vehicle or product design within NX.
• Knowledge of automated testing, unit testing, and modern software development practices.
• Experience with downstream CAD data consumers, digital thread processes, manufacturing, tooling, fixture design, or production engineering.
• Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, Teamcenter ITK/RAC customizations, GPDL, Knowledge Fusion, and legacy NX automation solutions.
