Senior Metrology Engineer (Optical Metrology)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States; onsite

Salary: $130,000–$155,000 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Manage the transfer of metrology tools and processes from development engineering to production.
• Perform IQ/OQ/PQ qualifications, Gauge R&R studies, statistical process control, reliability assessments, and process verification.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert in surface metrology, spectrophotometry, and laser measurement.
• Create and improve documentation for measuring and controlling optical component quality.
• Support continuous improvement, troubleshooting, uptime, and reliability of optical metrology equipment and processes.
• Train technicians on optical metrology tools and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Approximately 10 years of experience with optical metrology is desirable.
• Proficiency with metrology equipment or automation programming, such as LabVIEW or Python.
• Experience with Gauge R&R and Statistical Process Control is desirable.
• Experience with structured problem-solving methods such as 8D or DMAIC is desirable.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.
