IRRBB Specialist

Location: Leeds Wellington Place, with a hybrid schedule requiring at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office site

Salary: £72,702–£80,780 per year, plus an annual performance-related bonus

What you will do

• Lead and motivate regulatory and transformational change initiatives across interest rate risk in the banking book.
• Act as a senior subject-matter expert across earnings-based and value-based IRRBB risk.
• Oversee changes to IRRBB balance sheet risk models and translate complex analysis into decision-focused messaging.
• Build effective relationships with Risk and Finance partners to support delivery of change into QRM.
• Present and contribute to senior governance forums, committees, and regulatory discussions.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in IRRBB or Treasury within a regulated financial services environment.
• Practical experience with IRRBB balance sheet risk models, such as Quantitative Risk Management (QRM).
• Understanding of model risk management concepts and governance in a regulated banking environment.
• Ability to analyse complex model outputs, identify key drivers, assess materiality and limitations, and evaluate emerging risk.
• Experience working independently as a technical specialist and influencing decisions through expertise rather than people management.
• Strong communication, judgement, collaboration, and stakeholder relationship-building skills.
