TL;DR

Staff Product Manager (AI-Native Developer Platform) (AI/platform engineering): Building AI-native developer platform experiences, including MCP servers, natural-language interfaces, operational intelligence, cloud abstraction, and reliability tooling, with an accent on developer velocity and measurable platform adoption. Focus on defining company-wide measurement frameworks, designing agentic workflows, and aligning complex infrastructure, data, tooling, and reliability domains across large engineering organizations.

Location: Mountain View, California, United States

Base salary: $188,500–$255,000 annually, with potential bonus, equity rewards, and benefits.

What you will do

Define platform-wide product strategy and multi-year roadmaps for developer platform capabilities.
Own the 3x Developer Velocity measurement framework, including metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.
Build AI-native developer experiences using MCP servers, natural-language interfaces, and agentic workflows.
Shape operational intelligence, cloud abstraction, developer tooling, production reliability, and change-management products.
Define platform abstractions and boundaries while coordinating delivery across multiple engineering and business organizations.
Prototype solutions, contribute to innersource repositories, drive adoption, and communicate the platform vision to executives and the developer community.

Requirements

7+ years of product management experience with platform products at scale and distributed systems environments.
Working knowledge of public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including VPC architecture, IAM, Kubernetes, service mesh, CI/CD, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with operational data platforms such as data lakes, Athena, or Redshift.
Strong understanding of AI/ML developer tooling, MCP servers, LLM-powered workflows, agent-based systems, or IDE-embedded AI.
Experience shipping platform products with measurable adoption and defining strategic measurement frameworks tied to executive goals.
Strong cross-organizational influence, systems thinking, builder mindset, and communication skills.

Nice to have

Experience with load testing, chaos engineering, DORA metrics, and reliability engineering.
Experience contributing to innersource or open-source projects and speaking to developer communities.
