Greek Sports Localization Specialist (Football)

What you will do

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt football-related audiovisual content for Greek audiences.
• Follow writing style guides, localization guidelines, and market-specific terminology standards.
• Research local content, product and terminology trends, and localization best practices.
• Provide feedback on written content and support quality control activities.
• Handle an expected weighted volume of 2,000 to 5,000 words per week.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or at least 2 years of experience in linguistics, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.
• Extensive knowledge of sports, especially football.
• Experience translating and localizing multimedia content, preferably including machine translation and evaluation.
• Native-level fluency in Greek with excellent grammar, writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
• Strong practical knowledge of computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets.
• Licensed Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work independently and remotely.

Nice to have

• Published work on sports platforms such as ESPN, The Athletic, FourFourTwo, or similar outlets.
• Experience with sports media platforms, live-score applications, or sports streaming services.
• Ability to adapt voice and style for Gen Z, football-fan, and pop-culture audiences.
