Localization Specialist (Romanian)

What you will do

• Review English-to-Romanian translations for format, tone of voice, language, style, and local cultural relevance.
• Complete short-form translations for time-sensitive requests and adapt marketing, product, and support materials.
• Manage localization requests with approved translation agencies and ensure delivery quality and timelines.
• Collaborate with marketing, product marketing, product owners, and other stakeholders on market-specific content.
• Build relationships with translation vendors, lead linguists, and local market stakeholders.
• Monitor QA metrics, provide feedback, and improve localization processes using current localization technologies.

Requirements

• Native Romanian speaker with professional-level English proficiency.
• Experience in the translation industry, ideally translating marketing content.
• Knowledge of translation workflows, CAT tools, and QA reviews.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Romanian and English.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to ongoing change.

Nice to have

• French or Dutch language skills.
• Experience in translation project management or a creative/production agency.
• Experience using generative AI, machine translation, or other localization technologies.
