TL;DR
Managed IT Services Service Desk Consulting Intern (IT): Providing phone and email support for managed service clients, troubleshooting workstations, servers, networks, backups, and Microsoft environments with an accent on customer service, systems administration, and security. Focus on diagnosing recurring infrastructure issues, documenting resolutions, managing support cases, and escalating client problems.
Location: Dallas, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required, with up to 25% travel

What you will do
- Provide phone and email technical support to end users and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Troubleshoot workstations, servers, networks, backups, and client infrastructure.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Windows Servers, workstations, Azure AD, SharePoint, and Teams environments.
- Manage support cases by impact and priority, escalate issues, and communicate with clients through resolution.
- Document incidents and resolution steps in the ticketing system while maintaining security and confidentiality.
- Monitor case trends to identify recurring hardware, software, or infrastructure problems.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related IT field; a master's degree or recent graduation is also considered.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Apple and Windows hardware and software, and general IT troubleshooting.
- Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage stress effectively.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to assigned client locations, including up to 25% travel, are required.
- A 3.0 GPA is preferred.
Nice to have
- Experience with Microsoft 365 workloads, including email and SharePoint.
- Experience with Cisco, SonicWALL, or Meraki firewalls.
- Experience administering VMware ESX hosts, vSphere Client, Windows Servers, Azure AD, SharePoint, or Teams.
- Experience with Citrix, Remote Desktop Services, VPNs, and enterprise mobile devices.
