Test Technician I (Electronics)

Location: Middletown, Pennsylvania, United States; 100% in-office

What you will do

• Perform electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing of cable assemblies according to established procedures.
• Create technical reports and test records, and document and analyze test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, complete housekeeping tasks, and ensure equipment calibration.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Production, and other teams on quality, manufacturing, and cost-reduction issues.
• Construct test fixtures and control cabinet prototypes, and support occasional production work.
• Maintain compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, testing procedures, and company policies.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, or Engineering Technology.
• 1–3 years of experience in electronics testing, manufacturing, or quality preferred.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing environments and familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 wire harness standards.
• Knowledge of crimp analysis, cross-section analysis, pull testing, IP testing, contact resistance, hipot testing, and high-frequency testing.
• Proficiency with hand tools for constructing fixtures or control cabinets, along with strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to safely use electrical and electronic testing equipment, lift up to 35 pounds occasionally, and maintain regular, on-time attendance.
