Customs Analyst

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands. An EU Working Permit is required; the Orientation Year Visa is not accepted.

What you will do

• Research and define customs requirements for new trade lanes and geographic markets.
• Work with logistics teams and external brokers to turn regulatory requirements into shipping and customs workflows.
• Investigate new regulations and identify potential market-entry barriers.
• Maintain customs blueprints and shipment master data in SAP, Oracle OTM, and Oracle GTM.
• Develop SOPs, track new-lane launches, identify bottlenecks, and support continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with labeling requirements, Incoterms, import/export regulations, audits, and documentation standards.

Requirements

• EU Working Permit required; Orientation Year Visa not accepted.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
• 3–4 years of experience in shipping, transportation, warehousing, or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of European trade dynamics, customs, import/export processes, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
• Experience with ERP, TMS, or WMS systems, preferably SAP, as well as EDI and carrier portals.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with analytics or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Nice to have

• Experience in the CPG or food industry.
• Familiarity with customs regimes including transit, warehousing, and Inward Processing.
• Experience with temperature-controlled logistics.
