Data Architect (Cloud)

Location: Remote from the United Kingdom; the position is listed in Brighton and Hove, UK, with no daily office travel required.

What you will do

• Design and develop end-to-end cloud-based solutions focused on applications, data, and supporting infrastructure.
• Build data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, cleansing, processing, and integration with external systems and data access tools.
• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed designs and create reliable, maintainable, high-performance code.
• Develop test automation, test scenarios, test cases, and supporting tooling in collaboration with project leads and engineering teams.
• Perform performance tuning, security improvements, diagnostics, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, health checks, and configuration reviews.
• Implement CI/CD and operational visibility across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, custom data applications, and machine learning applications.

Requirements

• Experience designing cloud-based data platform solutions and working with complex data processing requirements.
• Ability to analyze and process very large datasets, including batch and real-time workloads.
• Experience developing data pipelines, integrating external systems, and working with data access tools.
• Ability to write high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code.
• Experience with test automation, test planning, issue analysis, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to work with project leads, engineering teams, and client application developers.
