TL;DR
Benefits Specialist (Employee Benefits and Compliance): Administering health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and compliance programs for employees with an accent on benefits operations, regulatory reporting, and vendor coordination. Focus on resolving complex benefits issues, supporting open enrollment and system implementations, and maintaining accurate enrollment, billing, and compliance records.

Location: Marietta office, Marietta, Georgia 30062, United States; primarily office-based.

What you will do

  • Administer medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FMLA, COBRA, 401(k), and related employee benefit programs.
  • Support employees with benefits inquiries and resolve escalated issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate wellness initiatives, benefits communications, employee education, and engagement activities.
  • Manage enrollment data, file feeds, billing reconciliation, rate reviews, reporting, and documentation.
  • Support compliance audits, regulatory monitoring, program evaluations, and process improvements.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment, vendor implementation, system testing, and employee communications.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in health and welfare benefits, retirement plan administration, and benefits compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms; Paycom experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of U.S. benefits laws, compliance requirements, regulatory processes, and HR best practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, project management, communication, and customer service skills, with discretion when handling confidential information.
