Location: Carlsbad, California, United States; travel up to 25% within and outside the continental United States.
Salary: $141,500–$224,000 annually. For specific locations in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, and the New York City metropolitan area: $176,000–$264,000 annually.

What you will do
- Lead technical definition and execution across government aviation communications programs and projects.
- Define and maintain CONOPs, system requirements, and technical program reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.
- Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and support the integration, testing, and deployment of mobility solutions.
- Ensure SATCOM modems, terminal equipment, software, and networking solutions meet customer technical requirements.
- Lead integrated teams involving government customers, industry partners, program management, engineering, and operations.
- Ensure system designs meet military and FAA certification requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience as a project engineer and/or systems engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Experience defining requirements from high-level system requirements through low-level subsystem requirements.
- Working knowledge of SATCOM equipment, networking equipment, Linux-based systems, and end-user applications.
- US citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance are required.
- Ability to communicate with customers and present technical information at an abstracted level in high-pressure situations.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a technical discipline.
- Experience with communications systems for mobility platforms and airborne C3, airlift, and ISR missions.
- PMP certification.
- Aerospace engineering and aircraft certification experience.
- Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.
