What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and iterate on production-grade agentic systems.
• Build AI-driven workflows that plan, execute, and iterate toward business outcomes.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, code generation, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
• Apply engineering practices for state management, observability, non-determinism, inference cost awareness, and adaptive-system testing.
• Develop reusable, maintainable backend foundations and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Perform root cause analysis and deliver solutions with measurable business impact.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on Java development, or equivalent evidence through strong internships or personal projects.
• Strong Java and Spring or Spring Boot expertise, with object-oriented design, algorithms, system design, and modern architecture experience.
• Experience designing scalable and resilient Java-based architectures and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL, plus NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB and MongoDB.
• Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development tools and demonstrated curiosity about agentic systems.
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent work experience; M.S. is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic frameworks, LLM APIs, or workflow orchestration tools.
• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud environments.
• Background in financial services, mathematics, or quantitative disciplines.
• Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Dynatrace or Splunk.
