Senior AI Application Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, NY, USA; eligible for hire in select U.S. locations

Salary: $178,000–$215,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement scalable multi-agent systems for complex, multi-step business processes.
• Translate existing processes into agentic solutions and develop new multi-agent architectures.
• Build agents using orchestration frameworks such as Google ADK, LangGraph, and CrewAI.
• Design secure tool-calling architectures connecting LLMs with internal databases, CRMs, and APIs.
• Implement LLMOps and AgentOps practices while mitigating prompt injection, hallucination loops, and unauthorized tool execution.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and off-site personnel; some travel may be required.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, artificial intelligence, software engineering, or a closely related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in generative AI, LLMs, or cognitive architectures.
• Expert-level Python and/or TypeScript skills, plus experience with MCP architectures and Rust.
• Strong knowledge of agentic design patterns, LLM APIs, open-weights models, vector and graph databases, and RAG architectures.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be eligible for hire in the U.S.; the compensation range does not apply outside the U.S.

Nice to have

• Enterprise-scale deployment experience with multi-agent architectures.
• Expert-level Rust proficiency.
• Extensive experience with GraphRAG and hybrid search.
