Senior Accountant (German GAAP/IFRS)

Location: Stuttgart, Germany; onsite role with no remote work available.

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly IFRS reporting for European entities.
• Prepare annual financial statements under German GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable local GAAP requirements.
• Monitor statutory filing deadlines and maintain compliance with local reporting requirements.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Assist with tax filings and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Provide accounting support to other Altium Sub-Group companies in EMEA.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, ideally a bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 5 years of accounting or financial reporting experience, with a focus on German GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, local regulatory requirements, and reporting deadlines.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with accounting software or systems, ideally NetSuite.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-team communication skills.
