Senior Accountant (Retail)

Location: In-person at the Brooklyn, New York office, United States

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 annual base salary, plus equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off, and other perks

What you will do

• Manage US accounting reporting and intercompany accounting across international entities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, journals, accruals, and accounting estimates.
• Own period-end general ledger close, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Review invoices, resolve vendor issues, and oversee vendor and expense payment processing.
• Develop accounting policies, internal controls, documentation, and process improvements.
• Support tax filings, external audits, quarterly reviews, and ad-hoc accounting analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably including public accounting and US retail or hospitality experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting.
• Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP, and Coupa or comparable billing and invoicing software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables.
• Ability to work independently, manage deliverable timelines, solve problems, and communicate clearly across functions.
