Senior Accountant - European Accounting Centre

What you will do

• Execute and oversee general ledger accounting areas within the European accounting centre, ensuring accurate, timely, and relevant financial information.
• Manage cash operations, including in-house cash reconciliation, cash clearing accounts, and local cash book uploads.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and analyze foreign currency revaluations across approximately 70 entities.
• Own payroll accruals, head office allocations, and quarterly fluctuation commentary for selected general ledger accounts.
• Review local entity trial balances, oversee parallel bookkeeping, and reconcile SAP ECC with local ERP systems.
• Support tax, credit management, cash operations, statutory and group audits, internal controls, and quarterly SEC filing disclosures.

Requirements

• Accounting qualification such as CPA, ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA and in a central finance accounting role.
• Experience managing multiple accounting or shared services projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong communication, collaboration, people skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced multinational environment.
• Ability to travel and work across cultures and time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience with BlackLine Reconciliations, GL Wand, and major SAP IT or process changes.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Familiarity with AI tools or prompt engineering for routine spreadsheet work.
