Director, Clinical Documentation Integrity

Location: 100% onsite in Naples, Florida; candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States. Relocation to the Naples area is supported.

Salary: $117,400–$176,100 annually

What you will do

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Clinical Documentation Integrity program.
• Set program goals and manage CDI productivity, quality, financial, and performance metrics.
• Lead, coach, and develop CDI managers, supervisors, and team members.
• Improve documentation quality, CC/MCC capture, severity of illness, risk of mortality, and reimbursement accuracy.
• Partner with physicians, coding, quality, case management, compliance, revenue cycle, and executive leadership.
• Use analytics, technology, and AI-enabled solutions to improve CDI effectiveness and operational outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, health information management, healthcare administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of progressive Clinical Documentation Integrity experience and 5 years of leadership experience managing CDI programs and teams.
• Experience in acute care hospital environments and strong knowledge of DRG reimbursement methodologies and inpatient documentation standards.
• Demonstrated experience with physician engagement and documentation improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of CMS regulations, quality reporting, risk adjustment, compliance, and operational and financial data analysis.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States; the role is fully onsite in Naples, Florida.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, business administration, or a related field.
• CCDS, CDIP, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or an active RN license.
