Senior FX Support Specialist (Murex)

Location: Lisbon or Porto, Portugal; hybrid work with up to 3 remote days per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Provide L1/L2 functional and technical support to front-, middle-, and back-office users across FX products.
• Manage incident and service request tickets from detection through resolution in line with ITIL practices.
• Collaborate with L3 support, software development, and vendor teams to resolve complex issues.
• Prioritize maintenance backlogs, issue resolution, and enhancement requests.
• Participate in software releases, including deployment, validation, and post-deployment support.
• Create and maintain internal knowledge-base documentation and improve support processes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in support roles within financial services or related IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of FX products and front-to-back workflows.
• Experience with SQL and databases, particularly Oracle.
• Familiarity with fintech software, ideally Murex or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of ITIL-aligned support processes.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Portuguese; existing legal right to work in the European Union required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of additional scripting or programming languages.
• Certifications related to ITIL, SQL, or financial IT systems.
