Location: Manchester, United Kingdom. Hybrid working arrangements may be considered.

What you will do
- Support an Industrial Biotechnology Innovation Catalyst-funded project.
- Study the mechanisms by which multifunctional engineered proteins bind to fabric surfaces.
- Apply material characterisation techniques to investigate protein–surface interactions.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team of PhD researchers and postdoctoral research associates.
- Lead interaction with industrial collaborator Unilever.
Requirements
- PhD with a background in material characterisation.
- Experience with one or more of QCM, AFM, ToF-SIMS, and TEM is essential.
- Excellent scientific and communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- An Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) certificate is required.
