TL;DR
Raw Material Scientist (GMP/QC): Performing analytical testing and operational support for raw materials in a GMP-regulated custom manufacturing environment with an accent on data integrity, quality systems, and analytical data evaluation. Focus on investigating deviations, CAPAs, OOS/OOT results, driving laboratory improvements, and supporting raw material disposition.
Location: Fully site-based in Slough, United Kingdom

What you will do
- Test raw material samples and document results according to GMP requirements, approved procedures, and timelines.
- Evaluate analytical data, identify trends or issues, and escalate findings to QC Management.
- Review and approve team members’ data, records, and results while maintaining accuracy and data integrity.
- Lead and support deviations, change controls, OOS/OOT investigations, CAPAs, and other GMP quality records.
- Drive improvements in GMP compliance, laboratory efficiency, safety, and quality performance.
- Support raw material disposition, manage changing priorities, and mentor junior colleagues in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Degree or Master’s qualification in Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
- Experience in a QC laboratory and/or GMP manufacturing environment.
- Experience with investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience performing chemical and/or biochemical testing and accurately generating, interpreting, and reporting analytical data.
- Strong understanding of GMP principles, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and compliant quality documentation.
