Business Analyst

Location: Brussels, Belgium; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Elicit, analyze, validate, and document business needs, functional and non-functional requirements, and business rules.
• Analyze and model current and target business processes and workflows, identifying gaps and optimization opportunities.
• Produce business and functional specifications, process flow diagrams, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support backlog preparation, prioritization, requirements traceability, project status reporting, and Agile delivery activities.
• Plan and support User Acceptance Testing, record defects and feedback, and verify delivered solutions against business needs.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings while contributing to KPI monitoring, data analysis, reporting, and project documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
• At least 9 years of professional IT experience, including a minimum of 6 years in a similar business analysis role.
• Experience with business analysis methods, requirements lifecycle management, process and workflow modeling, backlog management, traceability, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience planning and supporting UAT, recording defects and feedback, and working with Agile delivery practices and ceremonies.
• Experience with KPI monitoring, data analysis, reporting, BPM/process modeling, stakeholder coordination, and project documentation.
• Very good written and spoken English is required. The CV must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Experience in complex public-sector or EU institutional digital solutions environments.
• Professional certification in Business Analysis.
