Business Analyst (Finance)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work at the Antwerp/Wilrijk site in Belgium

Global industrial organization operating a product division with international financial operations and a focus on digitalizing reporting and analytics.

What you will do

• Support monthly closing, consolidation, reporting packs, and planning cycles for divisional management and the Business Board.
• Own P&L analysis, including cost and margin control, overhead variance analysis, cost bridges, and gross profit follow-up.
• Develop interactive dashboards, Power BI models, automated data flows, and AI/Copilot integrations to replace manual spreadsheets.
• Support the local product company in Antwerp/Wilrijk and collaborate with product company controllers worldwide.
• Coordinate global budgets and annual plans while acting as a sparring partner for local controllers.
• Apply group reporting guidelines and explain financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, Finance, or an equivalent field.
• Several years of experience in controlling, accounting, or audit, preferably in an industrial environment; strong data and analytics backgrounds are also considered.
• Solid understanding of group reporting and industrial cost accounting, including standard cost, absorption, variance analysis, and margin bridges.
• Advanced Excel skills and hands-on Power BI data modeling experience; knowledge of Microsoft 365, Copilot, and AI tools in reporting.
• High integrity, analytical curiosity, critical review of source-data accuracy, and clear communication skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tableau, SQL, Python, or Group reporting systems.
• Knowledge of Dutch.
• Previous experience within the organization.
