Senior Business Data Analyst (Asset Management)

What you will do

• Lead or support discovery with business stakeholders, Data Product Owners, delivery teams, and governance partners.
• Shape governed, reusable data products aligned with the Asset Management target data strategy and Snowflake-centric platform direction.
• Define product purpose, scope, users, business outcomes, data requirements, acceptance criteria, lineage, quality expectations, and operating model impacts.
• Assess data value, risks, quality gaps, ownership issues, governance requirements, and delivery complexity across the data lifecycle.
• Work with data modellers, engineers, testers, and architects on integration, source-to-target mappings, validation, and discrepancy resolution.
• Maintain product backlogs and roadmaps, support Agile delivery and OKRs, use AI-assisted tools for efficiency, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• Experience in business, data, or product analysis within asset management or financial services.
• Strong data analysis, data exploration, stakeholder engagement, and requirements-shaping skills.
• Understanding of data product principles, data quality, ownership, stewardship, lineage, metadata, and governance.
• Experience with or exposure to modern cloud data platforms and tooling such as Snowflake and Purview, plus semantic layers or data marketplaces.
• Knowledge of investment data, including instruments, positions, transactions, performance, benchmarks, portfolios, asset classes, fund structures, and regulatory drivers.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, ingestion design, data validation, Agile methodologies, Scrum or Kanban, product backlogs, and OKRs.

Nice to have

• Experience improving data product adoption, KPI measurement, value realization, or operating model maturity.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools and automation for discovery, documentation, and testing.
