Program Manager - Navy and USMC

Location: Austin, TX, United States, or San Diego, CA, United States. Onsite office role with up to 20% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

• Manage multiple United States Navy and Marine Corps programs through all contract-execution phases.
• Control program cost, schedule, technical performance, revenue, margin, forecasts, and earned value metrics.
• Lead software development, systems integration, engineering integration, sustainment, and fielded capability enhancements.
• Coordinate Engineering Change Proposals, contract modifications, customer-directed changes, schedules, resource plans, and execution baselines.
• Identify and mitigate programmatic and technical risks; prepare status reports, briefings, presentations, and Contract Data Requirements Lists.
• Lead customer, Integrated Product Team, and milestone meetings while coordinating Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.

Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to maintain the clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 6+ years of experience managing Department of Defense programs.
• Experience managing software development, systems integration, engineering, or technical programs.
• Experience with Engineering Change Proposals, contract modifications, or requirements management.
• Experience developing and maintaining project schedules and cost-performance metrics.
• Strong organizational, written, verbal, presentation, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional certification.
• Experience supporting the United States Navy, Marine Corps, NAVWAR, NAVAIR, MCSC, or related defense organizations.
• Experience with Command and Control, Tactical Communications, Air and Missile Defense, or related defense systems.
• Familiarity with Earned Value Management principles and metrics.
• Experience with Agile software development or DevSecOps environments.
• Experience with Cost-Plus, Firm Fixed Price, and Time-and-Materials contracts.
• Experience supporting customer growth, capture activities, and cross-functional technical teams in matrixed environments.
• Ability to adapt from rapid prototyping and IR&D efforts to formal defense acquisition programs.
