Senior Process Controls Engineer (Industrial Gases)

Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia; onsite role

What you will do

• Provide technical support for process control systems, instrumentation, analyzers, gas chromatography, DCS, PLCs, and control loops.
• Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities across ASU, HYCO, CO2, H2 mobility, utilities, and related facilities.
• Support MOC, OPHR, SIL assessments, SIS/SIF lifecycle activities, critical safety systems, and process-safety initiatives.
• Support plant construction, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, turnarounds, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Develop instrumentation specifications, control strategies, maintenance plans, spare-parts strategies, budgets, and project execution plans.
• Lead technical investigations and root-cause analyses while mentoring instrument technicians and less-experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant process automation experience in chemical, refinery, or gas-plant maintenance, inspection, or engineering.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, commissioning, and operating instrumentation and process-control systems.
• Knowledge of Siemens PCS 7, STEP 7, WinCC, industrial computer networks, process instrumentation, SIL, SIS, SIF, and SCADA.
• Knowledge of applicable oil, gas, and refining codes and standards, including API, ISA, NEC/IEC, NFPA, and ASME.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required; Arabic capability is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with Air Separation, HYCO, and gasification process systems.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards and working practices.
• Formal training and experience with Six Sigma and continuous-improvement tools.
