Forward Deployed Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Singapore; on-site. Travel to client sites may be required for up to 25% of working time.

What you will do

• Embed with client engineering teams to design, build, test, and deliver production-ready implementations of Vault products.
• Own the technical success of client engagements and translate business requirements into technical delivery plans.
• Write production-quality Python or Go code for integrations, tooling, data pipelines, core products, and extensions.
• Debug distributed systems involving databases, messaging systems, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
• Design scalable solutions covering high availability, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and security.
• Support presales through technical consultations, proof-of-concept implementations, and feasibility demonstrations, while sharing client feedback with product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Python or Go.
• Working knowledge of Linux or Unix, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL or equivalent databases, and Kafka or equivalent messaging systems.
• Production experience deploying and operating workloads on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience working directly with external clients or partners in a technical delivery capacity.
• Experience delivering technical projects end-to-end, including production readiness, rollback planning, and operability.
• Familiarity with retail banking, payments, ledgers, or regulated financial-services environments.

Nice to have

• Cloud architecture certification such as AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with additional programming languages.
