Forward Deployed Engineer (Healthcare AI)

Salary: $215,100.00–$384,400.00 USD plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Work with healthcare customers and stakeholders to identify high-value workflow problems, constraints, adoption barriers, and measurable outcomes.
• Translate ambiguous needs into use cases, success metrics, acceptance criteria, prototypes, and implementation options.
• Design, code, integrate, test, and deploy healthcare prototypes and product extensions using APIs, data, AI capabilities, and cloud-native services.
• Apply healthcare integration patterns including HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, CDS Hooks, and secure APIs.
• Convert field-built solutions into reusable APIs, connectors, reference architectures, templates, evaluation harnesses, playbooks, and product backlog input.
• Build responsible AI-enabled workflows with human oversight, auditability, monitoring, security, privacy, and healthcare data governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, biomedical informatics, data science, health informatics, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, customer-facing engineering, solution architecture, technical product management, or related product technology roles.
• Production-quality software experience in enterprise or regulated environments.
• Healthcare technology experience with clinical workflows, EHR, payer, pharmacy, healthcare data platforms, or digital health systems.
• Experience with AI or GenAI, LLMs, RAG, agentic workflows, AI evaluation, prompt or retrieval testing, or responsible AI governance.
• Strong programming ability in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, C#, Go, or comparable languages, plus the ability to collaborate across product, technology, clinical, security, and customer teams.
