Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java/Node/React)

What you will do

• Design and build end-to-end product features across backend services and the React frontend.
• Develop structured, testable backend services and reusable frontend components focused on performance, usability, and maintainability.
• Model domains, define system boundaries, and contribute to architectural decisions as the platform scales.
• Work across Java, Node, React, TypeScript, and existing PHP systems while improving the architecture incrementally.
• Own production concerns including CI/CD, observability, performance, reliability, security, and operational robustness.
• Use AI tools to accelerate development while reviewing and hardening generated code before production.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering experience with deep backend expertise in Java, Node.js, or a comparable modern stack.
• Solid experience with React and TypeScript.
• Understanding of system design, data modelling, trade-offs, boundaries, contracts, and invariants.
• Experience with CI/CD, containerisation, AWS, observability, and production ownership.
• Pragmatic approach to multi-stack production environments and incremental architectural improvement.

Hiring process

• 30-minute introductory conversation with the People Team.
• Take-home coding exercise requiring approximately 2–3 hours, covering architecture, clean code, testing, and problem-solving.
• Technical interview followed by a culture and collaboration interview.
