Customer Engineer (AI/Enterprise Integrations)

Location: Stuttgart, Germany, with remote-first work and the option to work abroad in the European Union. Occasional team events, workshops, or meetings take place in the Berlin or Stuttgart offices, with regular travel to customer sites expected for approximately 10–30% of the time.

What you will do

• Own the technical side of enterprise onboarding from architecture discussions through stable, large-scale production rollouts.
• Design and deliver identity, authentication, user provisioning, REST API, HR, and operations-system integrations.
• Work with customer IT, security, functional departments, works councils, partners, and development teams to define and implement technical solutions.
• Build prototypes or initial integration versions where this accelerates delivery, then document and hand them over.
• Lead the implementation of customer-facing AI agents, MCP-based tool access, and agent-to-agent scenarios, including authentication and data boundaries.
• Feed customer requirements and product gaps back to hirify.global’s product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 or more years of experience in IT or technology consulting, customer engineering, forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or SaaS implementation with enterprise exposure.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integration and identity, including SSO, OIDC, OAuth, Entra ID or comparable technologies, REST APIs, and API-based integrations.
• Customer-facing technical ownership in enterprise projects, including making decisions with IT, security, and functional departments.
• Ability to read code, review designs, debug integrations, and build working prototypes without being a full-time production developer.
• German at C1 level or above and fluent English.
• Availability for occasional office collaboration in Germany and travel to customer sites for approximately 10–30% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with SCIM provisioning and integrations with SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, UKG, or similar workforce systems.
• Current knowledge of agentic AI, MCP, A2A, EMA, and related authentication challenges.
• Previous experience as a Customer Engineer or Forward Deployed Engineer at a product company.
• Experience with n8n or similar workflow automation tools, logs, metrics, dashboards, German co-determination, or enterprise data protection.
