Power Electronics Engineer (Hydrogen)

What you will do

• Design and develop electrical architectures for fuel cell and electrolyser stack systems.
• Develop AC and DC electrical network designs for grid-connected fuel cell and electrolysis systems.
• Perform electrical modelling, power analysis, and technical feasibility assessments.
• Produce and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, loads, bills of materials, and technical design documentation.
• Review contractor and supplier designs and installation activities while providing guidance on integration risks.
• Support installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and validation of electrical systems.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience, with 5–15 years in electrical system or power electronics engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Strong experience in electrical design, power electronic systems, grid connection solutions, and AC/DC distribution.
• Knowledge of cable sizing, protection device selection, earthing/grounding design, electrical infrastructure, PLCs, microcontrollers, power converters, and protection systems.
• Mandatory experience using ETAP, EPLAN, MATLAB, or equivalent analysis and design tools.
• Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, IEC, NFPA, and applicable grid connection requirements; ability to support design, implementation, and commissioning phases.

Nice to have

• Experience in fuel cells, electrolysis, hydrogen, renewable energy, power generation, or MW-scale power systems.
• Knowledge of power system modelling and simulation techniques.
• Experience with research, development, prototype technology programmes, or international engineering teams.
• Fluency in Korean, Mandarin, Chinese, or German.
