SRE/DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: Remote within the USA; must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and able to travel periodically to the client's datacenters.

What you will do

• Maintain and automate hybrid cloud infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Build, configure, and maintain Kubernetes environments.
• Manage GitHub CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation workflows.
• Develop automation scripts and infrastructure configurations using Python, Terraform, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Monitor infrastructure health, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance to ensure reliability and availability.
• Visit on-premises datacenters periodically to collaborate on servers, storage systems, and hardware security modules (HSMs), while maintaining secure and well-documented environments.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and SRE practices across on-premises and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and services, including hybrid and private cloud environments.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation and scripting using Python, Puppet, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Experience managing GitHub CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure automation workflows.
• Understanding of server infrastructure and storage technologies, with the ability to collaborate with on-site colleagues on hardware maintenance.
• Background in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering, including infrastructure monitoring, troubleshooting, and reliability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving systems and processes.
• Based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and able to travel periodically to the client's datacenters.
