Strategic Sourcing Manager - Business Services & Marketing

Location: Based in Sydney, Australia, with a hybrid working model and regular campus collaboration

What you will do

• Own commercial strategy and sourcing execution across professional services, consulting, staffing and labour, BPO, system integration, workplace, insurance, payment gateways, and related indirect spend categories.
• Lead complex negotiations with consultancies, outsourcing partners, professional services firms, and contingent workforce suppliers.
• Build category strategies, manage contract pipelines and renewal cycles, and improve spend visibility.
• Partner with senior stakeholders, Legal, Finance, and Risk to shape supplier decisions and balance speed, value, and governance.
• Identify supplier consolidation and cost optimisation opportunities through data-led analysis and market benchmarking.
• Build scalable sourcing processes, playbooks, and knowledge-sharing practices across the function.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or a related commercial discipline.
• Experience across indirect procurement categories such as professional services, BPO, contingent workforce, workplace, insurance, or marketing.
• Strong analytical, influencing, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
• Experience creating processes, playbooks, or operating models from scratch.
• Ability to work independently across both strategic planning and hands-on execution.
• Ability to work from Sydney, Australia, under a hybrid working model.
