Intern - Kite Development - Tech Ops (Process Development) (AI)

Location: Santa Monica, California, United States; hybrid work at the designated site is required, and relocation may be required. Fully remote roles are not offered.

Salary: $19.00–$55.00 per hour

What you will do

• Execute an analytics and digital innovation project using Process Development and Manufacturing data.
• Develop dashboards, AI-enabled tools, and automated workflows to improve process performance visibility and operational outcomes.
• Apply data science, machine learning, and generative AI to support decision-making and process understanding.
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to identify use cases and deliver scalable solutions.
• Generate recommendations for digital transformation and advanced analytics initiatives.
• Present the completed work in a final PowerPoint presentation.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old at the start of the internship.
• Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. college or university and remain enrolled full-time in the following fall semester.
• Must be an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral student with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8.
• Must be independently authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without school or employer sponsorship.
• Must commit to a full-time internship lasting 10–12 consecutive weeks between May and August and work at the designated site.
• Preferred degree level is graduate; programming experience with Python or R is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Microsoft Copilot.
• Experience integrating and analyzing data from multiple sources.
• Knowledge of cloud-based analytics, data engineering, or software development tools.
• Strong problem-solving, organization, collaboration, and communication skills.
