TL;DR
AI/Agentic Solution Engineer Intern (AI) (AI and agentic solution development): Developing AI-driven solutions that address real business problems for a federal client with an accent on prototyping, business-user collaboration, and technical documentation. Focus on researching root causes, implementing solution improvements, and applying modern AI and agentic tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, and Kiro.
Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; must be able to commute to the Reston office two days a week
Salary: $21–$30 per hour

What you will do
- Develop AI-driven solutions to solve real business problems for a client.
- Engage with business users to understand needs and collaborate on prototyping and iteration.
- Research problems, identify root causes, and recommend and implement solutions.
- Create technical, business, and user documentation supporting solution delivery.
- Communicate project status, challenges, learning opportunities, and lessons learned with colleagues and project members.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain a public trust clearance or higher, as required.
- Rising juniors or seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field are preferred.
- Experience with general AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, or Claude.
- Experience with agentic AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Kiro.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Formal prompt engineering experience, including RISEN or spec-kit.
- Experience with AI-enhanced low-code/no-code tools or software solution development.
- Experience with DevOps, automated testing, business process analysis, value stream analysis, or lean methods.
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Rust, React, Angular, AWS or Azure serverless technologies, and workflow orchestration tools such as n8n, Windmill, or Power Automate.
- Rising senior status and demonstrated self-directed learning and curiosity.
