FP&A Manager, Product

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 per year, with potential equity and bonus or variable pay.

What you will do

• Own OpEx and headcount budgets across Engineering, Product, and Design.
• Build workforce planning models by function and level and align hiring with roadmap, compliance, and operational needs.
• Forecast cloud hosting, AI and compute usage, internal tooling, SaaS applications, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate build-versus-buy decisions, capitalizable versus expensed R&D, and vendor investments.
• Lead monthly budget-versus-actuals reviews, improve accrual accuracy, and automate reporting.
• Design approval workflows and financial controls for headcount, vendor spend, and enterprise tooling.

Requirements

• Experience partnering with Engineering leaders and supporting technical and corporate functions.
• Understanding of cloud economics, AI and compute scaling, enterprise tooling, and SaaS cost drivers.
• Experience managing complex headcount models across multiple departments.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis, assumptions, and sensitivity analysis.
• Strong attention to precision, forecasting accuracy, and scalable financial processes.
