IT Commercial Lines Summer Internships (Generative AI)

Location: Hybrid; applicants must be within commuting distance of Hartford, Connecticut or Charlotte, North Carolina

Salary: $24.00–$27.00 per hour

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineers to design, build, and test custom software applications supporting the Commercial Lines business.
• Contribute to projects using modern technology stacks, cloud platforms, and agile methodologies.
• Explore Generative AI tools and APIs to improve business processes and customer experiences.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team stand-ups.
• Work with peers and leaders on an Action Learning Project addressing a real business challenge.
• Learn how technology supports innovation in the insurance industry and deliver work to users.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; rising juniors or seniors are preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Demonstrated programming experience and willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
• Strong communication skills, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
• This is an 11-week, full-time summer 2027 internship; college credit may be available depending on institutional requirements.
