Finance Business Controller - Cost Management and Business Advice (Germany)

What you will do

• Provide financial analysis, cost management, planning, forecasting, management reporting, and business advice for Finance Germany.
• Analyze financial performance, cost movements, forecast changes, business drivers, risks, opportunities, and expected impacts.
• Prepare, validate, and deliver actuals, forecasts, Dynamic Planning inputs, reporting outputs, financial commentaries, and management narratives.
• Support cost trend and run-rate analysis, savings tracking, cost allocation reviews, and business cases for efficiency initiatives.
• Collaborate with Germany-based finance stakeholders, controllers, country finance teams, and international partners.
• Document reporting responsibilities and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate recurring analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, management accounting, business controlling, finance advisory, cost management, or management reporting.
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, actuals reporting, planning, forecasting, variance analysis, cost control, management reporting, and business case development.
• Understanding of banking financial models, including revenue and cost dynamics, funding, risk, capital, balance sheet impacts, and profitability measures.
• Strong analytical, data-handling, control, communication, and stakeholder management skills in a global matrix environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with SAP, Power BI, Power Query, Hyperion, SmartView, Oracle EPM, Essbase, TM1, SQL, or comparable tools is advantageous.
